After the recital, there are no more lessons until January. That means no singing or playing piano/flute/guitar/oboe, right? Wrong! Here are some ways to keep your musical skills active:
1. Play your Christmas/holiday songs for your family and friends.
2. Review one of your favourite pieces a couple of times throughout the break.
3. Look through your book and try to learn a new song on your own (and surprise your teacher!).
4. Make up your own song.
5. Play a song you already know, but change it around. For example, play it faster, slower, louder, quieter, or backwards.
No matter which playing strategy you use, remember to have fun!
